Exclusive interview with Chaske Spencer

Feb 7, 2012 | Chaske Spencer plays the role of Sam Uley in the "Twilight" movies. In this interview he answers our questions about his work on the movies. From "New Moon" he is in all of them.

1. How did you get into acting?

I just fell in love with it at an early age and decided to move to NYC to pursue my dream.

2. The "Twilight"-Saga is a great phenomenon. How did you prepare for these movies?

I read the books and the script to get an idea of the character Sam and I worked out...a lot!

3. When the fans read the "Twilight" books, they built images of the characters in their fantasy. Were you ever afraid of not meeting the expectations of the fandom?

It wasn't something that I really thought of when I was shooting the film and I have to say that the fans of the Twilight Saga have been the best throughout this roller coaster.

4. If you had the choice between being a vampire or a werewolf, which one would you choose and why?

Werewolf of course, Team Jacob all the way.

5. Did you read the books before you got the part of Sam Uley?

Yes.

6. Do you think that Bella made the right decision by choosing Edward instead of Jacob?

Well she followed her heart so who can argue with that?

7. Which "Twilight" movie is your favourite so far?

"New Moon" was my favorite film to shoot.

8. Some of the werewolves, Booboo Stewart, Alex Meraz, Bronson Pelletier, were at the fantasy convention RingCon in Germany and they seemed to have such a lot of fun together. What was it like to work with these guys?

It's a blast! The wolf pack is a fun loving group of guys and there is never a dull moment.

9. If you could spend a day with any living or dead person, who would it be and what would you do?

Bill Clinton, we would talk about politics, the economy and I would ask him questions about his public speaking techniques.

10. myFanbase is a website that is devoted to American television shows. Do you have one or more favorite show(s)?

I love "Breaking Bad" and "Battlestar Galactica" and "Luther" was amazing.
