1. Have you watched "Lost" before? Are you a fan of the show yourself?
I had seen the first 2nd or 3rd episode in 2004 when it first started, but I missed one episode and stopped watching because I wanted to watch them sequentially. I always had the intention to get the DVD's and start again from the beginning. When I got the audition I went and got Season 1 and 2 on DVD. I had recently seen "The Secret" and figured I would put it out there to the universe because I really wanted the part!
2. "Lost" is one of the most successful TV shows at the moment. How did you react when you got the call that you would be on it?
I was actually watching "Lost" when I got the call!! I leapt up in the air. Fell to my knees and promptly burst into tears!
3. You weren't the only new cast member. Also Ken Leung, Jeremy Davies and Jeff Fahey were newbies on the show. Did you all get along immediately? Who do you get along with best? How did the "old" cast welcome you?
I started working with the old cast members first because I had jumped out of the helicopter and was found by Locke and his troops. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, it was great. Out of the new kids on the block I've worked most with Jeremy Davies who plays Daniel Faraday who is amazing. I hope to work with the other boys more.
4. So far, we have seen that Charlotte is somehow connected to Dharma. Will this mystery be revealed any time soon?
I don't know as of yet, what Charlottes connection with the Dharma is.
5. Do you already know how long you will be on the show? Will we see Charlotte at least throughout season 4?
No idea how long I will be on he show. I'm still alive as I type this.
6. Do you know if your character Charlotte was always planned to be British or arose this idea after the audition? Can you some kind of suppress the British accent?
Charlotte was originally intended to be American, but after my audition they decided that they preferred me British. I can do an American accent. Most of my work has been in an American accent, so I was thrilled that I get to be English on "Lost"!
7. It’s not always easy for new characters in "Lost" to be accepted by the fans, as we could see in season 3 with Nikki and Paolo. Are you a little bit afraid that the fans of the show will not accept you? Did you get any feedback by fans yet?
Of course! I was nervous that the fans would hate me!! But I think because of the way these new characters have been introduced it's actually quite exciting and integral to the story line. So far, it looks like we have been well received, phew!
8. Do you have a theory to which end the show will come?
Hmmmmmm. I'm hoping that those who are not part of the Oceanic 6 choose to stay behind and live happily ever after!
9. A lot of your colleagues from "Lost" are living on Hawaii now. Have you also moved there?
I haven't moved my life here yet. I'm staying in a hotel. If I'm around longer I'll probably rent a place at the beach somewhere on the island.
10. You starred in FOX' drama "Justice" before you landed the role on "Lost". It was your first major role on American television. Can you tell us something about this experience?
Being on "Justice" was one of the best experiences of my life. It was so challenging to play an American defense attorney. The dialogue was crazy!!! It was the hardest job I've ever had. There were only four of us as main characters, so we worked all the time, no breaks.
11. How did you react when you heard that "Justice" was cancelled?
I was gutted when I found out that we were cancelled. I was heartbroken that I was going to lose a whole family of people that I had spent 24/7 with for all of 2006.
12. How was the co-operation on set, especially with your colleagues Victor Garber, Kerr Smith and Eamonn Walker?
Victor Garber, Eammon Walker and Kerr Smith are amazing men. I love them all dearly. We were very close on that show and were there for each other during the rough times and the good. I couldn't have done it without them. We are still in touch. The crew were fantastic, too.
13. You had a guest appearance on "Private Practice". How did you like your part and was it interesting to play it?
My gig on "Private Practice" was so much fun. What a fun group of people!! Kate Walsh is delicious! It was a fun part to play because I got to really act and run around screaming and crying. It was cathartic!
14. How did the writer's strike influence your work? What have you done during these three months?
The writers strike was a blessing in disguise. I got a lot of things done. I got to go home to my family in the U.K. I moved to a new apartment in L.A and then I got bored and was ready to get back to work!
15. Apart from "Lost", do you already know what projects are coming up?
"Lost" is everything in my world right now. We shall see what happens though....
16. Since myFanbase is an online magazine about TV series, do you have a favorite one?
I like "Watch with Kristin" from E! Entertainment.
