1. How would you describe your music in one sentence?

We make it, you describe it! : )

2. Was there something like a light bulb moment when you were young, maybe a concert, a certain song or a record that made you dream about a career as a musician?

Dan: "New York, New York" when I was about 8. After that I started playing the saxophone, and I wanted to become a jazz musician.
Olivia: I always loved music, singing and dancing. I guess when I sang in front of my classmates at school for the first time, i realized how natural it was to me, and not to all of them.

3. Are there any artists that might have influenced you or inspired you some time?

Olivia: Ella Fitzgerald, Björk, Moloko, Pj Harvey, Queen, Wu Tang Clan
Dan: Beck, Thelonious Monk, Frank Zappa, Bela Bartok

4. How do you develop your songs? What part comes first, music or lyrics?

There are many different ways. Sometimes we start with a beat, sometimes a melody, sometimes i come up with a verse and Dan does the chorus...it is very organic, and hard work.

5. What song is most important to you? Why and how did it develop?

"Playground hustle" is one of the tracks that we love most because it encapsulates all of our musical desires of the time. It is percussive, playful and has no conventional structure. We were sure it had to be the opening track of the album. It is like an anthem, the do-anthem.

6. In what aspects did your music change compared to when you started to make music?

?

7. What has been the best experience so far, together as a band?

Making an album with our own hands, in our own studio...composing, recording, playing and mixing everything ourselves is something we are really proud of. Then of course playing at huge festivals last summer, opening for Radiohead, were amazing experiences.

8. What can you tell us about your current projects?

We're recording our second album, and it feels awesome. We're really excited to be back in our studio with all the experience we have gained, and all the stories we want to tell.

9. And what are you aspiring to in the future, what do you want to achieve?

Be even more independent in our way of making and promoting music. Record a jazz album and a musical, but above all a great second album!

10. With whom would you like to go on tour?

Beck, or Goran Brekovic.

11. What record would we find in your CD-player right now?

Olivia: Debussy, Piano works
Dan: James Brown

12. What do you think, as artists, about platforms like MySpace?

They're great tools. We are thankful to myspace for we wouldn't be here if the audience hadn't chosen to listen to our music. And thanks to the fans, we got a deal with a record label who took the project as it was, without trying to change it, cos that's how people wanted it.

13. myFanbase is a website that is devoted to American television shows. Do you have a favorite show?

We don't watch TV...except in hotels sometimes, but we don't know any TV show. Sorry!
