Exclusive Interview with Francia Raisa

Francia Raisa is an American actress with Mexican and Honduran roots. She plays Adrian on the ABC Family show "The Secret Life of the American Teenager". In this interview she talks about how she feels about the character and her storyline and also a little bit about what she likes to do in her spare time.

1. You started acting at a young age. What was it like finding your dream job at such a young age?

It's crazy and unreal. I can't believe I'm doing what I love to do, especially after so many people told me I couldn't do it. I always encourage people to follow their dream because they can really come true.

2. Which one is your favorite of all the characters you ever played and why?

I think Adrian because I can play with her character! Its fun to play the bad girl sometimes and not be judged for it after.

3. At first, Adrian's and Ben's storyline in season three looked very similar to the one Amy und Ben already had in season one until it took an unexpected turn in the season 3 finale. Were you excited about this very challenging story for your character?

Yes!!! I was so happy that the writers trusted me with this material. It was such a huge challenge for me because it is such a touchy realistic subject and I didn't want to sugarcoat or downplay any part of it.

4. Can you tell us anything about where this storyline might lead us in the upcoming episodes?

No! Because then it wouldn't be a secret! I'm very good at not giving away any spoilers.

5. Within the show it is occasionally mentioned that Adrian might have just married Ben and moved in with him to make Ricky jealous. Do you personally believe Adrian is still hung up on Ricky and vice versa? Or do you think they're genuinely in love with Ben/Amy?

I think she still has feelings for Ricky. It's so hard to get over your first love quickly and move on like that, especially when you see them everyday. I think they will always have feelings for each other.

6. Who would you prefer to see Adrian end up with? Ben or Ricky? Or maybe neither?

Neither. I'm ready for a new man in the show, haha.

7. There have been a lot of pregnancies on the show so far. Will there be any more pregnancies within the next season(s) that you can tell us about?

I have no idea. I find out about things right before I shoot them so I'm just as curious as you guys are.

8. Which are the three songs and movies that you like to listen or watch over and over again?

"Moulin Rouge", "Serendipity", "Selena".. I mean the list goes on. If they are on TV I will watch them over and over again..... "Enough" was just on back to back and I watched it both times. As far as songs right now I'm obsessed with J. Cole's "Feel love" and Adele's entire album.

9. Do you get recognized in the streets a lot? What is it like to meet fans?

I do and I love it. If it weren't for my fans I wouldn't be doing what I love to do. I take every opportunity to thank them for all the support they give me.

10. Can you tell us something about other projects you have coming up?

I wish I could but I haven't gotten the OK to talk about it yet!

11. myFanbase is a website that is devoted to American television shows. Do you have a favorite show?

My two favorite shows are "Grey's Anatomy" and "Desperate Housewives".
