1. It is really hard to find any information about you. Do you try to keep your private life as secret as you can?

Not particularly. I am just not the kind of big-name star whom people seek out and photograph and investigate! (Thank god!)

2. You have exactly the same name as a prominent physician and writer. Have you ever read one of his short stories?

S. Weir Mitchell is my Great Great Uncle. He was a surgeon during the civil war, and yes, I have read several of his stories. He was a big deal back in the day...

3. When and why did you decide to become an actor?

When I was in second grade. Acting brought me a sense of confidence and ease - new and powerful feelings for one so young... That made a big impression on me.

4. What kind of scripts are you interested in? What must a script be like to appeal to you and make you want to immediately work with it?

As long as it is a good story, well-told, I have some interest. The other considerations have to do with the type of person I am being asked to play, what is the style/genre and, frankly, who else is working on the project. But the bottom line is the story.

5. Haywire's storyline in season two was loveable, cause you could really laugh sometimes when he was talking about Holland. Did you know that this character wouldn’t survive season two?

Early on, I gave up trying to predict the future and figure out what the writers were up to... Better just to wait for the script and go along for the ride!

6. On the DVD commentary you mentioned that you had auditioned for the role of TBag. How did you end up playing Haywire?

I wound up as Haywire because after having read for T-Bag, the casting office wanted me to come back in and read for a "possible recurring" role (meaning two episodes). Because I happened to be all the way back on the East Coast by the time they called, I told them I was not willing to fly all the way back to L.A. to read for a new role when they had so recently seen me. The producers decided to offer me the role and the rest is "Prison Break" history.

7. What do you think we can expect for season three of "Prison Break"?

I honestly have no idea. I hope we learn more about Mahone. I think Bill Fichtner is wonderful in the show!

8. Do you have any new projects you can tell us about?

Just an episode of a show called "Dexter"; it's on a network called Showtime, and if it's not in Germany yet, it will be. I think it could be a very big hit there. I am also working on a small film, a psychological thriller called "The Circle".

9. Since myFanbase is an online magazine about TV series do you have a favorite one?

Anything written by David Milch (Deadwood, NYPD Blue, and the new series, John From Cincinnati)... The Family Guy is hilarious.
