What is fan art for you and does your style reflect something about your relationship to the character you are painting or drawing?

Fan art for me is an opportunity to show admiration and discover the character traits that are most interesting for me. The ability to look a little deeper into the character and put emphasis on certain traits. They are depicted in the drawings as I see them.

What are the easiest and the hardest parts of the artistic process?

Probably make the drawing to be alive. At some point the person in the portrait comes to life and you feel their presence. This is a very cool feeling!! When all that you conceived about the character looks back at you.

Do you feel like with fan art you can put a lot of yourself into a piece, tell your own story?

Oh yes of course! Sometimes I don't really draw the character as we see them on screen, this work is more complicated, but also more interesting! For example, one of my most imaginative drawings is the Chevalier in a woman's dress. I just couldn't deny myself the pleasure of fantasizing about this idea!!

What is it about Versailles that inspires you and draws you to share your art with the Versailles Family?

Versailles is definitely a special series, no other series inspires me so much. And it really brought together actors and a huge number of fans in one friendly family.

And last but not least, what are your favourite TV shows and what do you enjoy about them?

In addition to Versailles? Probably a lot, the first that comes to mind is "Peaky Blinders" - a great series with a stunning cast of actors, which conveys the era of the 1920s very well. And "The Handmaid's Tale" with the magnificent performance of Elizabeth Moss.

Thank you for the chat, Ksusha!
