Die Ereignisse in #3.09 Stealing Fire (Spoiler)

Wer die am 31. März ausgestrahlte Episode #3.09 Stealing Fire noch nicht geschaut hat, sei an dieser Stelle vor Spoilern gewarnt.

Ein paar Wochen ist es erst her, als sich die "The 100"-Fans von Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey) verabschieden mussten und die Reaktion auf diese Entscheidung bei vielen keinesfalls positiv ausfiel. Serienmacher Jason Rothenberg sprach damals mit TV Line über die Gründe (wir berichteten) und nutzte später seinen neuen Blog um auf diverse Vorwürfe einzugehen und sich zu entschuldigen. Er machte auch deutlich, dass es in der Serie vor allem ums Überleben gehe und kein Charakter sicher sei.

Da Ende Januar 16 bereits bekannt geworden war, dass Lincoln-Darsteller Ricky Whittle in Bryan Fullers "American Gods" eine Hauptrolle übernimmt, rechneten bereits viele damit, dass auch Lincoln innerhalb der dritten Staffel stirbt. So sollte es in #3.09 Stealing Fire schlussendlich auch kommen, als Lincoln sich freiwillig stellte, um die gefangenen Grounder zu beschützen und von Pike (Michael Beach) exekutiert wurde. Zuvor waren bereits Lexas Novizen - darunter Aden (Cory Gruter-Andrew) - und Titus (Neil Sandilands) gestorben.

Ricky Whittle nutzte anschließend seinen Twitter-Account um sich bei all jenen zu bedanken, die ihn unterstützen und auch Crew und Cast fanden nette Worte über Whittle. Über all dem schwebt jedoch der Vorwurf des Mobbings hinter den Kulissen der Serie, zu dem sich Whittle laut eigener Aussage zu einem späteren Zeitpunkt noch äußern wird.
