1. You started acting at a very young age. When and why did you decide to become an actor? And is it something you want to do your entire life?

Ever since I was about three, I’ve been doing musical theater. I just always wanted to be on stage. So it was sort of a natural thing for me. And I still love it. I do want to be an actor when I grow up, too…plus a video game designer. I might also like to write and direct later on.

2. Imagine yourself in 10 years, where do you see yourself?

Let’s see…in ten years I’ll be 21! I guess by then I’ll be living on my own and working as an actor! Hopefully I’ll be involved in some big movies and have a lot of fun projects going on.

3. What do you do when you are not at work? What are your hobbies?

I LOVE playing video games…I have some different systems. My newest game is the Wii Fit. But I also make videos with my stuffed animals and my friends and my little brother, Springer. I write the scripts and direct the videos. I love to sing, and I do musical theater most of the year. And I’m really into anime, like manga. I’ve also been doing karate for 6 years. Sometimes I help out the Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation, and I get to meet a lot of neat kids and their families.

4. Is it true that you're a vegetarian? Have you been raised to be one or did you decide it on your own?

Yes, I’m a vegetarian. I was raised that way since I was born. I’ve had the chance to eat seafood, and I actually like it, but my mom doesn’t make it for me, so nearly all the time I eat vegetarian. I don’t believe in killing animals for food, and the way they treat a lot of animals that are kept for food is not humane.

5. You starred in the music video "Song to say Goodbye" by Placebo. Do you like the music? And is there any difference to play in a music video compared to a tv show?

Yeah, I loved being in Placebo’s video. Those guys are really cool, and the video turned out great. I really like their music, and I have a bunch of their CDs. My little brother actually loves the video I’m in, too, and asks to see it all the time.

6. Is it true that you like to make videos for YouTube? Do you have an account where you put your videos up?

Yes, that’s a big hobby of mine. I do have an account, and I had a lot of videos up there at one point. But then I decided to start all over and I took them all down! Now I’m just beginning to put up a few new ones.

7. How did the writers strike affect you?

The writers’ strike affected a lot of people. Our show, "Pushing Daisies", got cut short for its first season, so we only did nine episodes. But now it’s coming back in the fall for Season Two. We’re already shooting the new episodes. They’ve made a few changes in the show since the strike, but it’s still going to be really good like it was last year.

8. When you first read the script of "Pushing Daisies" what did you think?

I thought it was a pretty interesting idea. But I didn’t know if the show would get picked up or anything. I was really excited when we got to shoot more episodes after the pilot and got to see Ned’s character develop.

9. How was the audition for "Pushing Daisies"?

In my audition, there was actually a page of script for me to read. But when we started shooting, Young Ned suddenly had no lines! They put Jim Dale’s narration over my scenes, so you get to hear what Ned was sort of going through at the time.

10. You often work in front of a bluescreen. Is it hard to imagine everything around you?

It isn’t that hard to imagine what’s supposed to be around you if you just focus on what you’re doing in the scene or focus on the person you’re in the scene with.

11. We haven't found out your characters last name yet. Do you know it? Will we ever find out?

He’s just Ned the Pie Maker!

12. I guess a question you need to answer a lot: What is your favourite kind of pie?

My favorite pie is apple! But I like pecan pie a lot, too.

13. Can you give us some scoop about next season?

Well, they’re going to be doing some flashbacks with some of the other characters now, and also some flash-forwards!

14. Do you have any new projects you can tell us about?

I did a McDonald’s commercial that ran this summer, and I did an episode of "Cold Case" this past spring. I also recorded the voice of a Golden Retriever puppy for the Disney video feature "Space Buddies". Other than that, you’ll just have to keep watching for me!

15. Since myFanbase is an online magazine about TV series, do you have a favorite one?

I like a lot of shows. I especially like comedies. But I just started watching some old "X-Files" episodes and "Star Trek: Voyager", and they’re really cool.
