1. You played the young John Winchester on "Supernatural". Did you study the way Jeffrey Dean Morgan played the older version of the character before shooting your scenes?

I did study and watch Jeffrey's work on "Supernatural" before playing the role. Even more importantly I studied his portrayal of Denny on "Grey's Anatomy". The reason for this, is I play John before is really thrust into the dark side of demon hunting and I wanted him to have a naive innocence about him. I wanted him to be a real guy, that was experiencing the demon world for the first time.

2. What was your reaction when you read the script with all the "Back to the future" references?

As always, the writers on "Supernatural" never cease to amaze me with their well timed wit and charming references.

3. Meeting your sons as grown men in their twenties is not an everyday occurrence when you're in your twenties yourself. What was your favorite scene to play with the Winchster boys?

I ABSOLUTELY loved playing out the scene in the impala when Young John tells the boys to, "Shut up or so help me I will turn this car around!" It was a great glimpse into the future of fatherhood.

4. You were a guest at several "Supernatural"-Conventions. What is it like to meet the fans in such a setting? And when will you come to Germany?

I hope to come to Germany as soon as possible. I would love to visit there. As far as the fans go, the Supernatural fans base has accepted me as one of their own and I will be forever grateful to them for the warm welcome. The fandom is the nest in the world for the show.

5. At "Supernatural" Conventions it usually feels like all the actors are a bunch of great friends but most of the guest stars didn't have episodes together. What do you think makes for this great chemistry between the "Supernatural" actors?

Proper casting of real, modest people, make it easy to fall in love with these cast members. The show is a casting phenomenon!

6. If you could put the "Supernatural" cast and yourself into any other of the recent shows what roles would you like to play and like them to play?

I would love to play a period piece with any of the guys like "Game of Thrones" or "Boardwalk Empire".

7. You played Aiden in "South of Nowhere" for three years. Can you tell us something about the show and your character?

That was my first acting gig ever! I met my wife on that set and I got paid to learn how to act from some very talented cast members. I was part of a show with a real message and I will be forever grateful for it!

8. You recently married your "South of Nowhere" co-star Mandy Musgrave. Congratulations on your wedding! How is married life treating you?

She is perfect and I am the luckiest guy on earth!!!!!!!!

9. One of your recent films is a horror movie called "Chain Letter". Would you like to do more genre films and is there a certain genre you are interested in that you haven't done yet?

I don't have a limit to any certain genre of film. I did very much enjoy the horror films I have done so far in my career, but would like to venture into some heavier character based pieces.

10. You had parts in several horror movies. Do you like watching horror movies, if so which one do you find the creepiest?

I love horror movies!!! I couldn't sleep for 6 months after I saw the first "Paranormal Activity".

11. You've also worked as a co-producer. What exactly does a (co-)producer do and what was your experience like?

Ha. A co-producer does as much as he or she possibly can until he or she falls over from exhaustion. I will continue to produce projects and direct, it is challenging and extremely fun!

12. Like some other "Supernatural" actors you are on Twitter. What is it like for you to keep in touch with the fans on this social media network?

I think it is the least an actor can do. I try to reach out to as many people as possible. After all if it were not for the fans I wouldn't be able to do the things I love as an actor and I want the fans to know that they are very important to me.

13. If you were casting actors for a movie what would you look for in an actor? What is an important quality in an actor in your opinion?

I wouldn't look for an ACTOR, but the actual CHARACTER I am casting in a person.

14. Since myFanbase is an online magazine about TV series, do you have a favorite show?

"Supernatural"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
